MA in Public Relations - Employability
Of the more 1,000 MAPR graduates since 1999, over two-thirds have found work in PR in
Ireland, the UK and further afield, with several now running their own consultancies.
Gaining experience by working on tactical and strategic projects, on completion of the course
graduates will have a thorough understanding of public relations and the issues confronting it in
the modern world. Combined with excellent skills in writing and communication, MAPR
graduates are also strategic thinkers highly in demand by global consultancies, and by commercial
and not for profit organisations.
Recent graduates have also assumed positions of responsibility in consumer public relations and
public affairs where they specialise in political public relations. Other specialist areas include
agricultural public relations, healthcare, entertainment, event management and public relations in
the voluntary sector.
