Sarah graduated from IT Tallaght in 2014 with an honours degree in European Studies. Spanish was a major part of her degree as she lived in Spain for a year as part of the Erasmus programme and learned to speak the language fluently. And moved to Spain on completion of her degree.
She settled in Alicante and got a job as an English teacher at an English language academy after completing an intensive month-long TEFL course.
After living for 4 years in Spain she decided that she wanted to move home to further her education by starting a Masters degree in PR, an area she had developed an interest in.
Dissertation Topic and Overview:
“An investigation of how social media has altered crisis communication strategies of the past decade”
This research aims to investigate how exactly crisis management strategies have had to change due to the emergence of social media while also comparing and contrasting major crises of the past and how they were managed with crises of recent years in the social media age.
